Pageant of the Masters
If your honey has always wanted to go to the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach, or you want to go yourself, then take advantage of this Valentine special.
Right now until Feb. 14, 2012, the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach is offering you the chance to buy a ticket to the 80th anniversary of this famed art event in July and August for only $14. That is a deal compared to the $20 regular price for these director’s side tier seats.
They also charge you a $3 online ordering fee, so the real price is $17 per ticket, but that’s still a deal. Note that Saturday night performances are not included, but you can go any other day of the week.

Tips to enjoy the show:
- Don’t go if you don’t really like art. The entire performance is for art-lovers. If you’re indifferent, you’ll hate it. Buy the tickets for your honey who wants to go, but send someone else in your stead.
- Go early to avoid parking hassles and enjoy the art festival that surrounds the open-air theater. There are picnic tables there too if you get there early enough to grab one.
- If you hope to snag free street parking, go really early. A trolley runs around Laguna that can give you a ride to the festival grounds.
- Bring a blanket because it’s chilly after dark.
- As you might guess, these super-cheap tickets are for the worst seats in the house, so bring some binoculars, or you can rent them there if you don’t mind paying $9! Or maybe use that money to buy a cheap pair. You will want to see the details of the makeup and paint.
